Spring 2023 CCEE Graduation Ceremony

Graduation will require tickets for guests.
The CCEE Department Graduation Ceremony will require tickets for entry of family and friend to attend the May ceremony.
- A maximum number of 6 tickets will be available to each graduate walking at the ceremony. This is determined based on the number of graduates and seating capacity of the venue.
- Students can request tickets by ordering Graduation Guest Tickets. – Ticket Requests can be made April 10 – 28, 2023.
If you only need 2 tickets, only request 2 tickets.

- Tickets not claimed by April 28, 2023, will be released for any graduating student needing additional tickets on a first-come-first-serve basis.
- Graduating students will be able to add to their ticket order after May 1, 2023.
TWO Graduation Ceremonies (University & CCEE Department):
CCEE Department Graduation: Friday, May 5 1:30 p.m. in the McKimmon Center.
(Duration of ceremony will be approximately 90 minutes) Guest Speaker: Rhett McLaughlin (CE graduate of 2000).
Rhett James McLaughlin (born October 11, 1977) and Charles Lincoln “Link” Neal III (born June 1, 1978) are an American comedy duo. Self-styled as “Internetainers” (a portmanteau of “Internet” and “entertainers”), they are known for creating and hosting the YouTube series Good Mythical Morning.[1] Their other notable projects include comedic songs and sketches, their IFC series Rhett & Link: Commercial Kings,[2] their YouTube Premium series Rhett and Link’s Buddy System, their podcast Ear Biscuits, their novel The Lost Causes of Bleak Creek, and their acquisition of Smosh.

Instructions for CCEE Graduation Ceremony:
The Lobby will be open for family & friends. Doors for the ceremony will open at 1:00p.m.
Line up for the procession begins at 1:00pm SHARP.
Order of processional will be: (alphabetically by last name according to the program provided at the ceremony)

- MENE
- MS
- PhD
NOTE: Be mindful that other graduation ceremonies are taking place before, during, and after the CCEE Department ceremony.
Parking & Directions:
- PNC Arena Parking
- McKimmon Center Parking: Parking in the front lots of the McKimmon Center is free and usually plentiful. There are three smaller parking lots on each side of the center that are reserved for university employees. Visitors are asked to park in designated visitor parking spaces in order to avoid ticketing.
The McKimmon Center is located at 1101 Gorman Street, Raleigh, N.C. 27606.

Diploma Distribution
May graduates: Final clearance for candidates other than Doctoral is early June. All diplomas will be mailed to the address the student listed as their “Diploma or Home/Mailing address” in their MyPack Portal by early July.
Summer Session I graduates: Final clearance for candidates is late July, and diplomas will be mailed to the address the student listed as their “Diploma or Home/Mailing address” in their MyPack Portal by late August.
Summer Session II graduates: Final clearance for candidates is early September, and diplomas will be mailed to the address the student listed as their “Diploma or Home/Mailing address” in their MyPack Portal by early October.

SUMMER GRADUATES:
Undergraduate Summer Degree Candidates: If you know you will graduate and wish to walk in the Department Commencement Ceremony ONLY, email Rachael Ayres.
Graduate Summer Degree Candidates: Thesis/Dissertation Summer Graduation Candidates who receive an unconditional pass and upload the ETD draft BEFORE the spring department ceremony may participate in the department’s spring graduation ceremony.
Defer Graduation Walk: Deferring your “graduation walk” to the spring ceremony will no longer be permitted. Students can defer to the Fall ceremony but NOT to the spring ceremony.
