Brief Bio:
I am a 4th-year undergraduate student at NC State pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering. I plan on completing my undergraduate degree in May 2021 and continuing on to obtain a Master’s degree at NCSU in Structural Engineering and Mechanics through the ABM program. Currently, I am working as a summer intern under the supervision of Dr. Abhinav Gupta. For my summer research project, I am developing finite element models for Nuclear Power plant pipe systems using ANSYS. Dynamic analysis of the FE models subjected to various earthquake loads will be carried out. Then, with the help of Machine Learning algorithms in PYTHON, degraded locations in the pipe system can be predicted.
