In addition, Mills has played a significant role in the development of infrastructure projects. She prepared a $3 million road project that was coordinated with the North Carolina Department of Transportation, bid as a Public/Private agreement. As a liaison with the local and state government agencies, she is responsible for addressing current rules and regulations, representing the owner and managing projects through all stages of permitting and approval process. 

Mills assists both the NAI Tri Properties’ Brokerage & Leasing Team and Corporate Services Division. She has experience in coordinating site tours and analysis of tenant space needs. 

In 2001, she received the Triangle Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” designation and in 2003 she was recognized as a “Woman to Watch.” Mills has been an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), serving as Treasurer for two years; she received the ASCE Outstanding Senior Award for her accomplishments while a student at NC State.

Mills served on the Twin Rivers YMCA Board of Directors in New Bern, North Carolina, on the property management committee. She received a dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering from North Carolina State University. Mills is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina.
