‘Creations in Concrete’ interdisciplinary course brings together design and engineering

CCEE Research Assistant Professor Greg Lucier collaborated with Dana Gulling, Assistant Professor of Architecture, to offer a new interdisciplinary course aimed at both architecture and civil engineering students. The studio course, first offered in Spring 2017, included site visits to precast concrete plants as well as design and production classes that took place in the Constructed Facilities Lab (CFL) on Centennial Campus. ARC 503/CE 675, which will be taught once a year, was recently featured in Designlife Magazine produced by the College of Design. You can read the entire article “Cementing a Partnership” written by Meghan Palmer, as well as see an array of photographs featuring student’s work.
